Baby on the Way: How Can I Get My Startup to Convert?

As a startup founder, I'm constantly looking for ways to improve my business and increase conversions. But with a baby on the way, I'm under even more pressure to make sure my investment analysis platform startup is successful. So, I'm reaching out to the Indie Hackers community for advice on how I can get my startup to convert.

Crush The Market ( https://crushthemarket.com ) : Accelerate your stock analysis with us.

My startup is focused on helping investors save time and effort in researching and analysing different investment opportunities. We offer a range of tools and resources, including real-time market data, historical financial statements, and analysis tools, to make the process of investment analysis and decision-making more efficient and effective.

But despite my best efforts, I'm still struggling to convert users into paying customers. I have signed up 120 users in 2 months with two converting onto the 14 day free trial, these 'conversions' have been within the last two weeks so have not finished their free trial yet, so not technically converted. I have recently switched my strategy to be more organic social focused so we will see how this pans out.

Do you have any advice on how I can get my startup to convert? What tactics have worked for you in the past? I'm open to any and all suggestions, so please don't hesitate to share your thoughts and experiences. Your input is invaluable to me. Thank you in advance for your help and support!

    Hi Tom.

    Congratulations on the baby.

I don't have a lot of domain knowledge of your business, but I have an observation about your pricing page that I think might help.

I think your pricing page should VIVIDLY show that users are getting a good bargain by paying $11.50 a month.

You can do this by grouping the features in one column. Something like the following

    1. Feature: Analyst rating --- Free plan: unavailable --- Premium plan: up to 50+ analyst ratings

    2. Financial Statements --- Free plan: Up to 6 years --- Premium plan: 35 years.

    3. Performance Analysis Backtesting --- Free plan: unavailable --- Premium plan: available.

I believe that by juxtaposing both plans in this manner, you'd be showing new users exactly what they'd miss if they don't sign up for the premium plan.
