Backend-heavy dev looking for someone to build weird, ambitious stuff with (not another CRUD SaaS)

I'll be upfront: I'm not posting this because I need clients right now, I'm posting because I'm bored of building things alone and I think building with the right person is more fun and goes further.

Quick background. I'm a CS student and freelance dev, backend-focused, NestJS/Postgres/Docker is my comfort zone. I've built a few things already: PortalX, an AI-powered port booking platform I built at a hackathon, and Archinest, a collaborative SaaS platform where I led a team of 6. Both real, both shipped, neither one changed my life, which is kind of the point of this post.

I've done the corporate-track thing in my head and decided against it before even starting. Not interested in optimizing someone else's roadmap for a paycheck. I like picking an idea apart, poking holes in it, rebuilding it, and seeing if it actually survives contact with reality. Most ideas don't, and that's fine, that's the fun part honestly.

One thing about me, probably from watching too many debates growing up: I'm direct. If your idea has a logical hole in it I'll say so, if the architecture you're picturing doesn't hold up I'll tell you why instead of nodding along and building it anyway. I'm not trying to be difficult, I just think that's actually more useful to a founder than someone who agrees with everything. If you want a yes-man, I'm the wrong person.

So if you're the type who has 3 half-built ideas in a notes app and no one to bounce them off, or you're already building something and need a backend brain that'll argue with you instead of just implementing whatever you say, I'm interested.

I'm not looking for "let's build the next Notion competitor." I'm looking for whoever's got a weird idea and enough conviction to actually try it. Could be a nights-and-weekends thing, could turn into more, no pressure either way, I just want to build something with someone who cares as much as I do.
What I bring: backend architecture, AI integrations, and someone who'll tell you if your idea has a hole in it before you spend 3 months on it.
