Bad idea to launch on election day?
Election day in the US is next week (Nov 3). I have a politically themed product (Fantasy Congress), and I'm wondering if doing the Product Hunt launch on election day would help it or hurt it. Is it bad practice to launch in conjunction with big events like this? This would be my first PH launch, so curious to know what others think!

I think your best bet would be to launch a day or two prior to the 3rd; last week would probably have been ideal.
Nov 3 will be hectic and may be hit or miss on exposure to your product. Tuesdays on PH are highly competitive, and may also be competing with a number of other political projects.

yes that's also my opinion. I would launch it some day before the 3rd Nov.
But i've just launched once on PH and to be honest i don't know if launching in conjunction with those big events could be a problem or a big driver for traffic!
I'd try to launch on days like that, better than not launching.
