Hi,
Does anybody have good examples of a freelancer or small dev shop with a robust blog? I'm in the process of expanding my personal site with some new content.
I want my home page to be a good splash page with information on services and an easy to access contact page. However, I also want folks visiting to be able to sign up for a newsletter and read fresh content.
Here is my site: https://www.conorleary.dev/

Check my website and blog, exactly what you ask about 😁 https://cubitoo.com/blog
Great looking site. Do you essentially use the blog/home page as two separate landing pages then?
It’s one domain, so SEO is distributed in one place, but depending on the context each page (landing, coaching, blog) is self-contained 😁
Gotcha, thanks for the example!
One of my favourite examples of this would be a guy called Tobias Ahlin (https://tobiasahlin.com/). He's really nailed down how to merge his offerings with valuable content that'll make you want to come back to his site.
Hope it gives you at least some inspiration!
I'm doing that with my site: https://maximzubarev.com :)

Those look more like blogs about freelancing than examples of freelancer/dev shops internal blogs
What about two separate websites? One for your blog and one for the freelancing landing page
Would that hurt his SEO though?
I'd like to keep everything condensed on one site. Ideally, the blog would help cross-sell the freelance engagements.
Maybe not two sites. But potentially create Specific landing pages to send leads to
I think this is what I'm leaning towards. Essentially treat the internal blog as a separate entity for personal projects + upselling freelance engagements
