Hi, ok, we finished the product: https://remode.app
It is technically a free PC & internet health reporting tool that you can view online.
Additionally you have the opportunity to view multiple PCs' states on your grid.
For nomads, remote teams and any computer that work is done on.
I know there is a market for this somewhere.
The health reporting non-obtrusive, almost no-resource using exe only works with Windows PCs. You can view everything online via any browser. The exe does not even have a UI. Click it and forget it. It just works.
Being completely honest;
It is completely bootstrapped.
The windows app is developed by a friend, the rest is by me.
There are many of you who had success and experience doing this here.
I'd sincerely appreciate any advice on what could be my next step so that my side projects could be my main focus and source of income...
You need to work on the answers to:
Could have does that before building the product probably.
https://www.javelin.com/ can help you with the process or his YouTube vids..
I agree that I have no idea from the landing page what I'm getting.
Why should I install a software I know nothing about?
Is this just a big brother spy tool for employers?
What is "healthy" computer in your eyes? Are you just indicating I'm connected?(most use communication apps for the team) Or have updates?..
Thank you for the feedback, I get that, there may be a need for a "How-It-Works?" page with screenshots and step-by-step explanation.
It is actually just a simple exe and has no spying features, it just shows the hardware inventory, internet connection speed and simple performance issues, and no one other than you sees it, until you give permission to them. which is your machine id.
You see your current machine's inventory and state in a simple way. One of my friends figured out why he couldn't play a game he wanted after seeing the dashboard, and figured out what to upgrade. Also helpful for most computer users who do not have hardcore knowledge on hardware. But everyone can understand if the computer has 4 smileys.
Cheers.
Who's the customer? What problem does it solve for him?
You mentioned teams somewhere..
And now game requirements. (Is this like the hardware info screenshot thing? Used to be a few products..)
Did games stop verify and suggest requirements and such? Long time out of the niche...
Hardware inventory for companies is a full niche with big vendors..
What's the content you use for "simple performance issues"?
Need a simple message of this does X for Y and would make you smile because Z.
Thank you so much for your reply hatkyinc.
We actually list what data it gathers for the user, near the bottom of the about page: https://remode.app/about
Membership is free, you can check it if you want. Or I'll post an update when i create the "How-It-Works?" page.
about is commonly used to talk about the company/owners and sometimes contact info.
product features usually go somewhere more obvious
To be honest I didn't understand right away what your product is doing.
