It's easy to get bogged down in the implementation details of what you're working on and lose sight of the high-level impactful goals you're trying to reach. I try to step back and re-evaluate the latter every Monday.
Right now for Indie Hackers they're something like…
• Build the social feed into a thriving part of the community.
• Push out two new types of content: HoIH (Humans of New York, but for indie hackers) and also educational articles focused on specific problems that are often discussed on the forum and in interviews.
• Get to 100 Indie Hackers meetups per month, all over the world, and find a structure to make these meetups really valuable for attendees.
Hey Courtland 👋,
Speaking about meetups: For now, it's really inconvenient to figure out if there are any meetups going on around me in the future, because of this unsorted list view. It would be easier to do with a country or timezone filters feature. Of course, the best way to see it on the map, but probably it's a bit harder to build.
Yep, this is on my roadmap, hopefully will get to it in November.
