Benefits of working remote

I'm trying to put together a list of advantages of remote work. On the one side advantages for the company and on the other side advantages for the worker.

I'm asking you for your input since I don't want this list to be with my own experiences.

Once complete the list will be available here: https://remotedevjobs.io/content/advantages-of-working-remotely

Can't wait to hear from you and thank you for your help.

while most focus on the broad topics: time and focus.

I like the ability to control how much and what kind of noise is in the room. When I worked in an office, every conversation is not understandable, but rather hear-able.

It's not the fact that they are speaking that's the problem. It's the fact that they are my coworkers.

I work in cafes at times and in a foreign country, I can concentrate. But if there's english speaking conversations, I can't.

I read this book over the weekend and can recommend it for what you are looking for: https://basecamp.com/books/remote

In general, you should also check Basecamp’s blog as well as https://ma.tt/ for many resources on remote work.
