I'm trying to set up some products in Gumroad but it will not let me change country settings in Payouts for some odd reason. The whole experience is clunky and leaves me with doubt about this company.
What are some alternatives to Gumroad? Prefer something that's easy to set up without knowledge of code. ie. I have a Stripe account but have no idea how to set it up with taking payments on my website.
My needs:
Hey! You might want to check out www.pengdrop.com — I built it because I ran into the exact same frustrations with Gumroad, Payhip, and Sellfy. im based in England UK
PengDrop lets you connect your own Stripe and PayPal accounts so you receive payouts directly. Fees are either 5% per transaction or $89/year flat (no percentage cut at all) — making it the most affordable option out there.
The UI is clean and simple, and every product page is SEO-optimised so your listings actually rank on Google and bring in organic sales. Basically every problem I had with other platforms, I built a solution for.
To give you an idea — one seller is now doing $3k/month in sales and only paying the equivalent of $7/month on the annual plan. Zero percentage fees.
If there's a feature you need or anything that's not working for you, just reach out — I'm actively building and will get it implemented.
Go for paddle.com
set up a Carrd landing page with stripe widgets. You'll need to know how to set up SKU and products in Stripe. But not coding involved.
That's been the easiest way I found to sell stuff online.
Have a look at SuperPay by @KareemC. I do not know if it is the best alternative but it checks your needs.
We're hacking away on Mavenseed (https://mavenseed.com). I sell my own products on the platform.
Actually paddle.com is really good for me because I cant use paypal or stripe in my country.
If by "without knowledge of code" you mean you literally don't want to do anything with code, then your choices will be very limited. How would the subscription system work without the payment provider somehow talking to your app, anyway?
With Stripe, you can have a simple endpoint (fancy word for a page) that receives new subscription data so you can update your user's data with "this user has an active subscription".
Hi Gene,
i am willing to build that as a saas for you with my team,
it would take about 2 weeks,
your need is a subscription manager that plugs into stripe it seems
just send me the requirements on what you need,
would it be an option to just have an integration into your own site ?
i run formlets.com , we have quite some stripe integration code available
kind regards
Filip
PayHip.
Hey I saw someone here published this tool mavenseed as an alternative i haven't had the chance yet to try it

Does popvend allow me to embed a button to sell directly on my pages? I like how Gumroad shows an overlay and lets people check out right there and then.
pengdrop does yes
