Best automation for giving away first chapters of a book (PDF) to build community and engage potential readers?

I'm in the final stages of writing a book about community building.

I want to build interest by giving away the first chapter or two, as well as giving away a 50% off coupon.

What's the best way to automate this? Ideally I'd want to capture their email, send them PDF, and add their email to my Mailchimp.

I'm currently using Wordpress, and this is a very rough version of what the page would look like (not public yet, because it's so ugly!).

Any idea on how to make this seamless?

EDIT - any advice on how to handle the 50% discount thing would be appreciated, too. PDF, and just a simple, single code for use on Gumroad or similar?

Here is how I would do it in the most simple way.

Upload first chapters PDF file to Google Drive.

As soon as someone subscribes to get access to the first chapter, immediately share the PDF file on the leads email address.

You can use any automation software to do it.

As soon as the file is shared, the lead will get an email right away with the shared file link.

Your leads can click and access the file.

If you let me know what are you using to collect leads, I can probably do a video for you.

    Thanks

      Great, thanks!

Yes, using Drive would be a good option. Easy to control versions, too.

I think I'd prefer to use Mailchimp for email collection as my newsletter is currently in there.

Think I'll try setting that up now, thanks!

        @NeilC

I have created a small video demo for you. You can check it out. Although I used my form solution to capture the email address but it will work with MailChimp Form as well.

What experience do you have building communities? How do I know what you say will deliver results. Evidence of your success building a community would more likely get me to purchase your book than reading 2 free chapters.

      Definitely agree.

I haven't written any of the marketing copy yet, or anything about my experience. That will come soon.

I'm not trying to convince anyone here to buy it, though. Just looking for advice on the best way to automate the process of using the chapters as a lead magnet.
