I'm about to go public with my startup - we've been in private beta for 3 months and - for someone who's worked at companies where I led launches, I'm unsure what the best days are.
To be clear, I know as a startup, I'd need to launch many times, so in a sense it doesn't matter as much what day we make announcements down the line. However, I'm somewhat stuck trying to optimize for a best possible shot given this would be our first.
From experience, I've had successes with Tuesdays, Mondays and Fridays - not recommended. Now, the challenge is, a glitch occurred overnight this past Tuesday (our set day) - basically a core API had an extended downtime and it just seemed like a bad idea to roll out.
Every additional day we spend not rolling out feels like I'm wasting an extra year of my life but I want to do it (almost right?) I'd love to hear from other founders - what other day would you launch if you were me and any other launch tip would be helpful.
Hi, could you provide more information about the service/product you are launching.
