Best free helpdesk with free chat

What did you end doing? I was very happy with crisp, but I found it a little bit expensive for our startup status right now (we just need a chat and the knowledge base) so I found https://customerly.io/ which is pretty cheap and very interesting. I just miss the option to start a conversation with my customers (in customerly the have to start the conversation... which also makes sense). But I really like the funnel thing, which allows me to send some messages and emails to some customers depending on what they have done.
