Best growth tactics you've come across?

So I am starting to head into a more growth phase of https://kampsite.co (as opposed to feature development) and wondering what sort of success people have seen with unusual or different growth hacking techniques? I've seen a lot online but most are very similar so keen to see some that are a bit different

The best growth hacks are ones that leverage existing networks.

Hotmail exploded in large part by including a call to action within the product (leveraging their customers’ network of contacts) to beat out better funded competitors. Dropbox’s two sided referral is another example along the same lines.

PayPal owes a large part of their growth to the integration with eBay (leveraging that network of online shoppers).

AirBnB’ famous hack leveraged Craigslist’s network of users to grow the supply side of their marketplace.

Think about where your users are already and how you can leverage that to your advantage.

    Best of luck.

I think there's no magic to it nowadays. Most common is to define a type of content you feel most attuned to. Is it video, writing, coding, images? Then do that ten-fold. If you are the type of person who likes writing then go for SEO. If you like video, go for Youtube, or short stories on Instagram, and so on.

The thing is really about going for something you like because if you don't you won't be able to sustain it. And It really is about finding an audience, starting small dedicating yourself to said community (truly dedicating yourself) and then encourage this community to grow.

If you look at the majority of "growth hacks" (if not all) they are all about leveraging existing network effects or some stroke of luck. So you either leverage the networks you currently are in/have or create one of your own.

Following Kampsite since your launch on PH! Great to see you @hlucas

I've been leading growth for over 5 years for new to medium size startups. For me, growth is all about experiments. Although there are many playbooks or case studies out there. But it's hard to clone another Dropbox or Hotmail.

All you need to do keep running experiments, split-testings, allocate your growth stacks and pick the right metrics to measure and grow. Happy to exchange ideas :)

      Hey @felix12777 !

Yeah I think that seems like the general consensus - going to try something like that once I start going really big on it. Love to exchange some ideas if you have any! my emails harry@ (kampsite's domain)
