A real service runs on Firestick, Roku, Android TV, Apple TV, a Samsung or LG smart TV, your phone and a laptop — with the same login and the same picture quality.

Clear the cache before installing anything. A Firestick that has lived behind a TV for two years is full of nothing useful.
Install the player first and open it once to confirm it launches. Then add the service. Doing both at the same time removes your ability to tell which half broke.
Turn off automatic updates for the player. An update mid-season is a setup that worked on Saturday and does not on Sunday. And use an ethernet adapter if the TV is near the router — ten dollars fixes more stalls than any in-app setting.

What made the difference: an ethernet adapter on the main TV and turning off automatic player updates.
