Most complaints I read are not about the service at all — they are about the order the setup was done in.
Clear the cache before installing anything. A Firestick that has lived behind the telly for two years is full of nothing useful.
Install the player first and open it once to confirm it launches. Then add the service. Doing both at once removes your ability to tell which half broke.
Turn off automatic updates for the player — an update mid-season turns a working setup into a broken one on a Saturday morning. And use an ethernet adapter if the telly is near the router; a tenner fixes more stalls than any in-app setting.
