Guys, I need an onboarding saas software - something that can show users how to use Spread (hopefully not too pricey, and one I can use right away!)
Any ideas on what to use? I've looked at a few on Google but they all seem to be aimed at enterprise :(
Hi 👋 !
A fellow indiehacker here. I'm building flowdash.ai for the exact use case you are looking for. For anyone looking, would be willing to help you out personally with our product for your SaaS.
Hey Jatin, that sounds hella cool. I would love to learn/signup
@LouTromans Sounds great. Feel free to sign up for early access on the website or let me know your email and I’ll get in touch with you asap :)
Intercom has a product tours feature which can help with onboarding. Some early stage friendly deals available, though can get pricey too (good value if you have revenue IMO).
Userguiding have used before, which is tours without the other bits intercom does.
Got it on a lifetime deal so not sure of general pricing.
Appcues similar, mid priced when used it before.
I’ve seen a bunch of these tools aimed at the SME / startup market and eventually they all pivot to enterprise, as per your findings on google.
My pet theory is: these tools don’t work. When a SaaS tool doesn’t do what it’s supposed to do you have two options, fold the business or try to sell overpriced contracts to huge companies to try to stay afloat.
I guess what I’m saying is, try to figure out how to onboard your users without the need for these tools.
Hey,
Have you thought about onboarding emails? You can send a personalized message to the user when he gets stuck on the necessary funnel steps at your app.
I'm the maker of https://undersend.com - platform form email campaigns based on users' activities. If it sounds interesting to you, I will be happy to help you set up and create campaigns.
From what I know, https://userguiding.com/ is as cheap as it gets, still pricey though.
I'm building a software where you can trigger different hints/messages in app depending on user behaviour, here is an example of how I'm using it in my other SaaS: https://i.imgur.com/YiXBc6e.gif
It can be used to introduce new features to members (instead of overwhelming) like showing small "hints", and most importantly prompting them to upgrade.
Would that be something you'd like to try out?
Thanks a lot @FarouqAldori for the mention! This is Mert from the UserGuding team.
