Hi, does anybody have some experience with a payment provider that handles all the different European VAT systems out there? Ideally, customers should get localized invoices as well (i.e. in German or French).
Currently, I'm looking at the following list:
- Gumroad: Has a "dealing with VAT" description, but I haven't found anything regarding localized invoices, yet.
- Quaderno: Seems to have everything, but has a fixed monthly base fee instead of pure transaction based pricing.
- Paddle: Their "SaaS sales" seems to handle VAT as well. Don't know about localized invoices, yet.
- Klarna: Is European, should thus be okay, but I can't find anything related to VAT.
- Stripe: Seems to only allow manual maintenance of different VAT values.
Am I missing something obvious here? Specifically services that are actually located in the EU and thus closer to the problem at hand? Pointers are appreciated.
Have you considered payfunnels https://app.payfunnels.com/signup/step_1? It has both German and French language also handles VAT.
Thanks for the pointer!
»Process Payments With Stripe« – That's probably a good thing as they don't try to reinvent the wheel.
But they do come with a fixed monthly fee (which doesn't fit here, yet) and I can't find anything related to VAT handling at https://start.payfunnels.com/features. Guess, I'm missing something here.
Do you have a link or more info on this?
Hi Rolando, disclaimer: I am the owner.
We are working on redoing the landing page, which will list all the features.
That being said, I'd happy to have my support team give you a demoHere is a https://www.loom.com/share/ba3bbde556564d53899cfeee54ca97f5 on how we handle VAT.
Email me (from my profile) directly, if you have any questions.
Thanks! The demo video at that link does help to clarify the kind of VAT handling you are providing here.
(Currently, that doesn't fit. But I'll keep payfunnels on the list.)
I use Paddle. Works well for VAT & invoicing. Fastspring is also an option.
Thanks! And yes, paddle seems to handle the whole VAT issue pretty well. Guess, I'll give this a go and worry about localized invoices at some later iterations.
