Best Premium Javascript Courses in 2021? 🤔
Hey Indiehackers,
I'm 16 years old and I'm currently in the process of teaching myself Javascript. My goal is to be able to build fairly complicated apps in Javascript (specifically using React) by the end of 2021.
I am planning on signing up for ui.dev and I already completed the Scrimba front-end web developer roadmap course, but I am looking for your suggestions on which premium Javascript courses I should consider investing in?

If you want to practice creating real world apps with React and NextJS, definitely try out react2025.com.
I'm only 40% through the course and I've already learned so much.
Edit: Also take a look at javascript.info. It will for sure fill in any missing information you still have to learn about JS.

I banged out a week of binging frontendmasters last month and think it's fairly high quality. https://frontendmasters.com/. If you like spaced repetition stuff, you might want to look into Gary Bernhardt's Execute Program (which is more on fundamentals).

Any courses by Andrew Mead on Udemy. I took two of his courses and both are by far the best courses I have ever taken on any technical subject.

What about codecademy? I like the setup of their courses because I don't enjoy watching hours of video. I did the Frontend and Backend skill paths a few years ago and you had offline projects assessed by a real person. I've not used it for a while, though - so not sure if that is still the case.

Here's a somewhat unorthodox response. Don't buy any. Build projects and read MDN and the React.js docs.
I also highly recommend learning a low level language like Java or C++. This will help you build algorithms and complex backend with JS.
Tbh though, https://www.programiz.com/ is a great alternative to many premium platforms. It goes through all different terms and commands for free. For languages like C, Python, JS, C++, Java.

For hard core javascript, I completely recommend https://vanillajsacademy.com/. Without question, it will teach you JS inside and out. From there, learning frameworks is really not difficult.
