Best site-builder for programmatic SEO?

I'm currently using Unicorn Platform as a landing page + blog builder and love how easy it is to use. Unfortunately there's no CMS capability so it's not possible to implement programmatic SEO.

Does anyone have recommendations for this?

Webflow seems to be a lot bulkier and harder to use.

    WordPress +1 for obvious reasons.

If you're looking for a no-code solution to reduce technical challenges with WordPress, you may want to check out NoCodeWP. (I launched it last week.)

For programmatic seo it is a good idea to separate content (which will be auto generated) from the presentation (layout/css) etc. which most likely have to be done manually. This will also help you in experimenting with different tools and it would be easier for you to migrate from one tool to other in case it is not meeting your needs.

You can use static site generators like hugo, zola, jekyll, astro etc. for doing this. For content generation if you know any programming langauge like python, javascript, typescript etc. you can use it to create content.

If you are not a programmer there are number of tools posted by other indiehackers that you can use for creating content like wordpress plugin, flezr, webflow etc.

Webflow + Whalesync (w/Airtable) covers all our needs personally. It's much more expensive than other solutions presented here, but the results are pretty strong.

Webflow appears to be a tough learning curve at first, but once you figure out the basics, it's really not that hard.

I am building Flezr.com that can Programmatic SEO from Google Sheets data. It can create thousands of pages from Google Sheets or Supabase data. Planning to add more data sources like Airtable too.

There are several CMS options that offer programmatic SEO capabilities, including WordPress, Squarespace, and Wix. WordPress is a popular choice with a wide range of plugins available for SEO optimization. Squarespace is known for its ease of use and has built-in SEO features, while Wix also offers SEO tools and an intuitive drag-and-drop interface. You may want to explore these options and see which one best fits your needs and preferences. Additionally, it may be worth considering hiring an SEO specialist or agency to help you optimize your website for search engines.

We use WordPress with excel files to create content in bulk for geolocation purposes. Like "Activity 1" + "City"
This generally works well but you need to create very cool content.

This is clearly ChatGPT structure and nonsense. If you want to use Shopify for programatic SEO you have no clue.

Agree that the 2 messages above are generated by ChatGPT and make no sense.

But about using programmatic SEO for e-commerce (Shopify or whatever CMS), it can be useful.

Let's take an example, you are selling dog accessories. Probably buyers are dog owners or wannabe dog owners. You could probably spin some pages around dog breeding + {{ location }} and create a map of dog breeding in their area. It can be useful the readers.

That's just an example of how we can use programmatic SEO for e-commerce.

There are a few options you can consider for implementing programmatic SEO on your landing page and blog without having to switch to a bulkier platform like Webflow.
Use a headless CMS: A headless CMS separates the content management backend from the frontend, allowing you to create and manage content in a separate system and then pull it into your landing page and blog using APIs. This gives you more flexibility and control over your content, and also enables programmatic SEO. Some popular headless CMS options include Contentful, Strapi, and Sanity.
Use a static site generator: A static site generator allows you to create a dynamic website using static files, without the need for a database or server-side scripting. This can improve website performance and You can check here for more at https://decortrendy.com/ and also make it easier to implement programmatic SEO. Use a plugin or API integration: Some landing page and blog builders offer plugins or API integrations that can help you implement programmatic SEO. For example, if you're using WordPress, you can use a plugin like Yoast SEO or All in One SEO Pack to optimize your content for search engines.

I used a headless BCMS for my programmatic SEO projects. It is really intuitive and straightforward. I would recommend it to anyone.

Also, you don't need any SEO plugins because BCMS offers SEO features out of the box.

If you are interested, I wrote this step-by-step programmatic SEO guide where I used BCMS to build dozens of landing pages. https://thebcms.com/blog/programmatic-seo-complete-guide-with-examples

I hope it will be helpful and help you decide which platform to use for programmatic SEO in the future.

Wordpress is definitely a good start for SEO. You can setup the Yoast SEO plugin and control page wise meta tags as per your requirement. You have the option to go for wordpress's own hosting or self host and this gives you more control on your own platform. Just make sure you take a good self hosting solution and you are set.

Plus the new block builder of Wordpress is a breeze to use. If you choose a theme that matches your brand identity, you will get a headstart in building.

Don't waste your time with anything besides wordpress. You can find plugins for mass uploading and adjust tags and schema for SEO with RankMath. Or program things yourself. Squarespace, wix etc can't do that.

Plus granular code level template control means you can go fast...

This site is built with wordpress + plugins: https://chatgptpluginslist.com (in beta)

Try it out and tell me how it loads.

P.S. I can help you with wordpress if you have a budget set aside and are serious about ranking.

As a developer you might like https://versoly.com/, it has a much lower learning curve and a code editor for advanced features the no-code UI doesn't support.

If you need any help or questions i'm always about in live chat.

you definitely need an agency to help you.

but if you don't want to spend much money on it and optimize your pages, do it like these websites did it:

As the first Head of Growth at VEED, I built their Webflow database & CMS structure. You certainly don't need an agency to help you do this. Just sayin' 😁

    2. 1

Not sure why this would require an agency with so many self service options…

I built a keyword grouping tool to be used in conjunction with SEO tools like ahrefs/semrush/google planner to group keywords based on Google search results so you can quickly see which articles to write that target multiple keywords at a glance. Not sure if that's exactly what your looking for.
