Hey IndieHackers đź‘‹
I’ve been experimenting with Spotify’s built-in equaliser settings lately, and it’s amazing how much the sound changes depending on what tweaks you make.
Most people stick to Spotify’s default EQ presets (like Rock, Pop, Jazz), but if you’re into music, custom settings can actually bring out way more depth. For example:
Bass-heavy lovers → Slight boost on the low frequencies, small dip in mids.
Vocal clarity → Lift the mids, cut down on muddy low frequencies.
Balanced listening → Gentle “smiley face” curve (boost bass & treble, dip mids).
What I’ve noticed is that the “best” EQ really depends on your headphones/speakers and the type of music you’re into. 🎧
I found this breakdown really useful → Best Spotify Equaliser Settings (covers presets + custom tweaks with examples).
Curious — do you use Spotify’s EQ? If yes, what settings do you usually go with?
