Best startup app ideas in 2023

In my opinion, the best ideas are those where you can capture details of a specific niche of customers. Because, even if you are unable to gain traction, you can easily pivot based on what this specific niche wants.

My latest product (cwviq.com) is based on the same premise - it targets a specific niche (website owners) who care about website speed. So I know that even if the product fails, I know my audience and build a more relevant product based on their needs.

On similar lines, I think the beauty salon app, family budgeting app are great ideas - you know who these people are.

At the same time, I am not sure about car rentals because you cannot be sure if these customers will continue to rent cars, or will stay in the same geography over time.

I found this one really interesting too, not really an novel idea but I'm in love with the design and customer experience. You can try SaveDay!

My friends and I have created a "a Product Design Sandbox canvas". It's basically a framework to analyze different products and features. On this mapping, we try to categorize key products and feature by matching its product use case with the product form.

The interesting part here, though, is the blank spaces on the mapping. We think that they represent products that have not been made, thus the opportunity! So it's actually more sandbox where you can brainstorm, combine different features and product to design new products/features.

As more and more people ask to join and collaborate in this project, we've decided to make it public.
