Best tool to host a blog?
Hi All,
For those who have a blog and a community. Where do you host your blog? Is it somewhere within the community, or is it hosted independently of the community?
Any suggestions on what no-code platforms to use for hosting a blog?
I run a community on Mighty Networks, but also want to host articles on a blog. One option could be to add these articles as posts on the community, but I am not sure if that is the best way to do it.
Edit: The other way to ask this question is - What is the best no-code stack to use for landing page + hosted community + newsletter.

I personaly prefer Eleventy hosted on Netlify or Vercel.
Have you looked at ghost.io or even WordPress might be a good option?
Most hosting platforms offer 1-click WordPress installs whereas installing Ghost might take sometime and code work. @dr offers a Ghost installation service you might find helpful.
I personally use Ghost for my blog for join.coulf.com - a private community I'm building.

Yes there are a range of nice free ones (they recently acquired a theme company).

I have no experience with newsletters to be fair. But check out Substack?

What is the goal of the blog posts?
It is creating content that is meaningful for the audience + community. Not all of the content is shared in newsletters.
It should also help us start ranking on SEO, since all our content will be relevant to our niche.
The other challenge this poses is that - the community is hosted on my main domain - www.justanotherpm.com. I am posting most of my blog content on the community, so that should already start positively impacting my SEO. If I were to take the blog somewhere else, I would also have to think of which domains / sub domains to use for the different platforms.
OK, several things here.
First: Ghost is really nice, I’m currently working on a project with it.
Second: Many people who work in SEO believe that content on one subdomain has SEO benefits over spreading content across on multiple subdomains. This is controversial, but I’d rather be safe.
Third: Duplicate material will hurt SEO regardless of subdomain unless you properly set up canonical link metadata. See: https://ahrefs.com/blog/canonical-tags/
Fourth: Have you considered publishing the content on the main site (marking it public) AND then importing it to Medium? Doing that improves discoverability, requires little effort and properly credits SEO to your site with the canonical link metadata. See: https://medium.com/p/import
