I'm looking for a way to run poll in a newsletter in a most efficient matter. I tried surveys, even most minimal versons (with just one question as example) -- engagement was really low.
I'm looking for a way to minimize friction as much as possible and maybe embed a poll inside an email -- with ability to cast your vote in one link.
Quick google didn't reveal much. Maybe somebody has some personall experience to share?
I don't think people generally like surveys. Just my perspective, but I generally ignore requests unless there's something that immediately benefits me.
Even then, I'd still be resistant unless my Benefit > Survey time spent.
Is it possible to embed a poll tweet into a newsletter?
don't think it's possible, no-js in emails :)
One time I took a screenshot of a Twitter poll and made it link to actual poll. Not a perfect solution, but may be an option.
did you measure engagement when you did that? what percent of your subscribers actually voted?
I honestly can't remember and it's so long ago now I fear I'd spend all day trying to find it! :|
It seems like mailchimp has a built in functionality for such surveys.

I might try this. But if anyone has any other suggestions -- please, keep them coming.
