What are the best web/browser push notification services? What are you guys currently using?
I only tried OneSignal, it's great but it's crazy expensive after 30K subscribers.

Have you tried Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM)? It's free.
Never tried, is there any limitations for the free service?
Is it truly free or the price will be added with the usage? The pricing plan only says free and it's not clear if other prices are added on top of that...

Data collection is a big red flag for users, they are going to hate it... Can't really use it :(
Sorry, I don't have any alternatives to offer, but something made me tick.
When you have 30k users, OneSignal costs $0.003 per user / month.
This should not feel "crazy expensive" to your business.
Do you plan on having many thousand users and make no money from the vast majority of them ?
For a eCommerce website sure its fine, but for a blog, $100 a month it's a lot of ad revenue... And keep in mind that some niches (like entertainment) are not that profitable...
