Beta launch and Open-Source

Hey, I'm excited to share with you a new open-source visual front-end framework for building complex web applications.

funkLang, or funk for short, combines visual and code workflows allowing designers, developers, and low-code users to work together in a single environment.
funk is different from WebFlow, Wix, or bubble as it will be a fully-featured front-end framework like WordPress, React, or VueJs, rather than a limited templated low-code tool.

funk is open-source and you can use the visual editor or check out the code and docs on GitHub.

    I almost didnt click on this because I assumed it was yet another frontend framework/language but it looks pretty interesting!

    Here are some highlights of what the latest beta version of funk can do:

    • Draw freeform HTML like you are designing in Figma or Sketch
    • Click one button ("responsify") and your design automatically becomes responsive
    • Connect APIs visually to any element within the visual editor (including lists)
    • Write code directly in the funk visual editor to transform data from an API (and import NPM packages)
    • Create site-wide design systems where you can link styles to multiple elements
    • Create stateful applications and interactive content using the built-in Model editor
    • Connect the funk visual editor to your text editor using the funk CLI (experimental)
    • Create custom elements in your text editor and directly insert them into funk (experimental)
    • Deploy in seconds to our global CDN
