[beta test] Laytur - a read it later app with a twist

Laytur is a read it later app that reminds you to read what you saved.

The app allows you to add links to digests that will notify you according to the schedule you create.

Within your digest you can also include sources like an RSS feeds, stocks, mastodon user, etc.

Interesting Details

  • I use a notification extension in order to fetch content from all your sources (RSS feeds, etc) before actually sending out the notification. This makes it seem like the content loads instantly after tapping the notification.
  • Fetching of content all happens on the client
  • I use iCloud to sync changes between all devices
  • I'm using catalyst to make the iPad app available on macOS
  • I built the Chrome Extension using Flutter

Would love to hear any feedback people may have!

Well, i can see how this can work for people who do some investing & due diligence. I always find my self opening a hundred tabs on my laptop with things i will read later about a company some news or articles or whatever.
After few days i just close all the tabs without reading everything
