I'm creating 3-4 mini web games. My plan is to get traffic and then monetize using ads. Should I create all the games under one domain or use different for all of them?
As you are launching all these games around the same time (assumption) it will be much easier from the marketing point of view to grow one domain.
For instance if you are planning to use content marketing and so on it will be much easier to plan it for one domain over 4, 4 unique blog posts for one single domain will help to do 4 content cycle were as for 4 different domain that will be one cycle. It will be the same when it comes to increasing the social media following and engagement the effort could be 4x with 4 different domains.
In the future if one or two of the games become popular than the other ones you can always create a separate brand and identity for it .
This is my opinion and depending on your situation it could be that you may need 4 different domains.
Thanks for the feedback!! I'll keep this in mind.
I agree.
Start with one. Easier to manage, cross-market your games, get SEO traction.
Create separate domains later if needed.
Yes, Cheers!
Usually the higest source of traffic is organic, meaning from Google. So if your aim is to get as much traffic a possible then you you should create one domain with 5 landing pages:
This way is also much simpler to attract traffic from social media because you have to manage only one account, not 4 different.
It would be very easy to grow the site if you are managing one. Less code repository and easy deployment.
But if your individual game has more search keyword volume (i.e. iamghostrider.com has more than 100k search volume) then it's better to have seperate domain for each games and create master domain for blogs and link those games from there.
Agreed!
