Binge Weekly: Newsletter for Millenials. Would love some feedback!

Hey gang.

I've been working on a newsletter w/ a buddy for about a year. It's called Binge Weekly. Here's a quick rundown of what we're trying to do w/ it:

What is Binge Weekly?

-Binge Weekly is an alternative news source providing conversational news for millennials and highlighting the best content from creators across social media platforms.
-BW's tone is casual and looks to communicate news/content the same way we'd communicate with friends via text.
-We structure our newsletter using aspects of the internet we think are most prevalent to our intended audience: memes, lists, abbrevs, etc.

Value Adds:

  1. We save you time scrolling through the internet by curating the best content from the previous week that we think millennials would enjoy.

  2. No overlap. One thing i've noticed w/ newsletters that I subscribe to is there tends to be a ton of overlap (same news stories across multiple newsletters). Our aim is to present things you haven't seen before in other newsletters. The internet is big AF and the content is plentiful, so this shouldn't be a problem.

  3. We want to provide a place for smaller/mid-size creators to get publicity. Again, there is so much content online now and the creator space is so large + growing that it may be difficult to get your name out there. We want to recognize these smaller/mid-sized creators for their efforts. If you're not lucky enough to be pushed by the algorithms, we'd like to become a place where you can blow up.

  4. Good vibes. We like to think of our newsletter as quick seratonin boosts. Start your day w/ laughter/happiness and keep that vibe throughout the day.
News can be pretty depressing - we try to focus on the good stuff.

We're currently a weekly newsletter and release every Friday. This was originally just a thing for a buddy and I to work on to keep us busy during COVID, but I think i'd like to try and take it a bit further than that. We've had good feedback, but our audience is small (<500 or so right now). We've done no advertising or any sort of marketing pushes yet. We've been committed to finding our voice and generating content and now think its time to take it a bit more serious.
