Biotech Bets - Our Why

As a group of poor PhD students who probably spend too much time on reddit, youtube, facebook/instagram, etc, we were really caught up in the craze of the r/WSB rebellion and fascinated by the mechanics of the stock market in general.

However, we quickly noticed that a lot of these investing strategies were not applicable to many biotech stocks because of the regulations in healthcare and the FDA.

We wanted to apply our domain knowledge in drug development for creating a framework to reliably determine drug approvals and build our process in the open for full transparency. With that in mind, we wanted to start by publishing our summaries in a newsletter/blog format with a follow up scorecard for where we got it right and where we went wrong.

We're definitely not stock pickers, but maybe we'll make a buck or two along the way. We would love to hear back from the IH community on how we can continue to build value and trust in our small niche.
