I'm organizing Biotech Startup School, a free online course on how to start a biotech company. We have ~700 people registered for the course, growing 20%+ / week since November. To my knowledge it's the biggest biotech-focused entrepreneurship program out there.
The first talk was last week (we had 340 people sign up to attend in person). Before then, I had just marketed individual events with a vague landing page. Today I'm launching the full syllabus and the project component of the program.
Would love any feedback on the copy and site in general: https://www.baybridgebio.com/biotech-startup-school.html
Hi Richard,
those numbers sound amazing -- congrats!
Here are few things which I would try to implement:
In the introductory copy I would point out first if this is a live-attendance event or online one.
Restructure this copy - https://omnistreak.com/cast/5hSzE - into bulletpoints outlining what will they learn exactly.
Since this is a CTA area - https://omnistreak.com/cast/d3amQ - I'd add a headline to entice visitors to sign up (same for other CTA areas at the rest of the page).
"Who is this for?" - can you outline 3 ideal personas who will get out the most of your event? If so, try visually presenting this with icons + headlines for each of those personas, as well as adding descriptions.
There's a lack of photos overall - I would add them in the "About Biotech Startup School" section (to showcase proof of credibility), profile photos of authorities who will be providing lectures -- and I'd recommend picking out a better image for the top section.
"Sign up for updates" -- can you pick a more descriptive and actionable copy for the button? What kind of updates? What will they get?
As for other pages of your site - I see lots of valuable data but I'd recommend improving CTA areas as well as making those pages more visually appealing (if that works for your audience).
I hope this helps... thanks!
