Birth of a new SaaS - build in public (TalentPipe)

One of the best ways to build a SaaS is to address an existing problem.

The irony is that once you are a SaaS owner, there are plenty of problems to solve.

Lately, I needed a simple way to sort all the applicants we had for a technical support role we are trying to fill but we could not afford to interview all the candidates so I needed a way to qualify and reject quickly.

TypeForm was nice but annoying to maintain a list of candidates.

Plus I wanted all candidates to be informed on the status of their application without spending too much time on it (we have so far 4500 applications, even if it takes 3 minutes per applicant, this means 28 working days, non-stop to inform candidates).

So, a few months back, I cloned my existing SaaS (quickmail.io) and changed a few bits of code.

I ended up with a new SaaS (talentpipe.io) that my lead support and myself are using to fill positions and keep the pipeline open (https://quickmail.io/jobs).

I'm currently at $0/month with it but given how useful it has been for me, it's clear that this could generate revenues at some points in the future.

At this point, I'm looking at validating the idea.

And so this is my second SaaS. Given that I'm starting it on the side and how new it is, I thought this could be a good idea to build in public.

Is anyone really interested in reading more of the journey with this new SaaS?
