Hi everyone. I launched Blendful (www.blendful.com) here a few weeks ago and since then we've had some pretty steady usage numbers which has been exciting.
Today I've launched the biggest update yet; pre made templates which helps people overcome blank canvas syndrome and get started making their designs faster.
A few things I'd like to ask:
- Would you use Blendful to create your next illustrations, why, why not?
- What do you like? What do you hate? What can I improve?
- Anything else I should consider?

Are you using FabricJS/Canvas for your tech stack? Reason I am interested, is that I am using it on my project.

I want to do mobile, but still trying to gauge whether I have product-market fit yet; if I do, good things to come!
I am using canvas, but I'm using a project called paperjs. I heavily considered FabricJS but the API looked a bit confusing and didn't give me much confidence. Fabric has more features than Paperjs though. Have you used Fabric? How do you like it? Also would be curious to see what you're building.
Yes Shutterstock is expensive, especially for pay as you go. But my product relies on good photography to promote. And the monthly/yearly packages are more reasonable in the long term.
Yes, makes good business sense to test for product-market fit before investing in mobile development.
Not heard of Paperjs. But I will take a look. I think Fabric JS is a great piece of software. I appreciate the website/documentation looks a bit dated. But there hasn't be any complications using it. And the large support community on Stack Overflow has been helpful. I am using it on a niche baby photo site: https://babybymonth.com/
Got it! That's interesting. I haven't really heard of anyone using shutterstock outside big corps... :)

I've tried your app and found that the scroll-to-zoom is not intuitive.

Beautiful product, will definitely try to use it seriously next time i'm trying to create a banner. One thing i can point out is perhaps you can add an undo button and/or make the ctrl+z shortcut work
Undo is desperately needed, but just not there yet with the product. Thank you!~ I will try to implement asap :)

1-Yes, will use it again for upcoming projects especially for its cohesive themes and ease of colour blending.
2-Nice themes to get you going asap, super intuitive tools, pricing makes sense for an original custom made work.

How do you export the illustrations ? Can you export svg and or react components ?

A market place for creators/buyers
Hey! You can export at the top right "export" button. Yeah you can export SVG, and you can export to different resolutions also, like medium + fb banners, instagram images.. etc. It currently does have marketplace features and there are some illustrators selling things on the platform currently :) Thanks for the feedback!
