Blog and Site: Separate domains? Subdomain? Subfolders?
tl;dr how important is it that the blog and product site are adjoined either through subdomain or subfolder?
Hey all --
After eons of work, I am ever so close to launching. If there is one thing I have learned through IH podcasts and communities its that I need to build an audience.
I wanted to find an inexpensive Wordpress solution and went with NameCheap's EasyWP offering. Because I am cheap as heck -- to a fault. The problem I found out is they don't offer subdomain'ing the blog.
Here's the rub: My side gig, Stacksimple, is a product / subscription service for out of the box Saas solution and starting point for folks to build upon.
The Stacksimple blog will be all things related to building out this product, and SaaS in general. I might blog about adding re-captcha to an existing app, or the Mailcatcher docker service, a deep dive into authentication/authorization and api authorization frameworks, or perhaps check-in on how the side hustle is going while trying to raise a family and work full time (that ain't easy!).
Anyway, any suggestions or experience would be greatly appreciated!
