Blog Platforms Trade-off

hi there,

I plan to start writing articles about various topics.
Apart from good content of course, I see 4 mains components I should have a focus on when starting a blog: Traffic, SEO, Tracking & Revenue.

I ranked by priority (for me) these 4 aspects:

  1. Get access to a wide audience to generate traffic
  2. Be SEO optimized
  3. Have tracking abilities (like adding Google Analytics)
  4. Generate revenue

Having these info in mind which of these platform(s) would you recommend me to write my articles on ?

  • Medium
  • Linkedin
  • subStack
  • WordPress (owned website)
  • Notion

I thought about starting to write on Medium and then copy/paste each article each time on Linkedin, subStack and my own Wordpress website. But a friend told me this is a bad idea because it would have very bad impact on Search rankings as Google would notice the duplicates.

I also heard about import its own website/blog to Medium with the import feature but don't know if it's also bad for SEO.

I am more interested in understanding your rational on which ones to use knowing the pros & cons of each platform.

Seeking some clarity from this amazing community !
Cheers, Max.

    Hi,

I hope you are doing good.

    1. Get a domain
    2. Get a Web Hosting (Drop me an email hello@axitmehta.com)
    3. Install WordPress
    4. Start Writing

don't opt for any other CMS or Medium.

I am a blogger, and have multiple blogs one of them is https://elth.in - Health and Modern Lifestyle blog on WordPress.
