Hello everyone,
I've been working on a new venture for last 3 months. I've been spending at least 8-10 hours sitting in front of the computer. I get backache almost every day. Last few days have been so bad that I've started taking pain killers. I don't get a lot of physical activity, just a 15-20 mins walk in the morning. I plan to do more physical activity once I launch my products (1-2 weeks from now).
What can I do to relieve body ache? Is there a quick fix till I find a permanent solution?
Thanks
Do some stretches in the morning and remember to stand up every hour and move around for at least couple of minutes.
Helped me immensely.
Try using the pomodoro timer method, which involves doing 25min of focused work and 5min rest. The most important thing is in those 5min to get up and walk around.
I actually find that those 25min are more productive for me than if I worked continuously.
Try a beginners 10 minute yoga sequence in the morning (plenty of videos on YouTube you can choose from, just make sure you focus on form rather than maximum stretching).
And then do a 10 minute session of stretching at night before you sleep.
It'll make a world of difference and it's literally only 20 minutes out of your day to reduce & prevent pain.
Download a break reminder app, get enough sleep, move every hour (get up from your chair for at least a couple of minutes), eat and drink regularly.
Most importantly: stop working so much. I get there is this deadline, been there, done that, but wrecking your body to the point you feel like you need painkillers just ain't worth it.
Work 2-5% less and your output will probably improve due to your improved mental and physical state.
Don't forget, the launch feels like the end, but it's only the beginning :)
