Bonai - for solo founders to get themselves found

That was an intense 24 hours. I made a commitment to solo founders interested in trying out Bonai for automated AI/Google visibility growth, that it would go live by Friday.

But then the code bugs and life bugs on Thursday kind of snowballed and I found myself up at 5 am on Friday morning, chugging coffee, trying to figure out what the heck happened to the feature fix I thought was pushed last night and somehow disappeared. Or why the content gen engine suddenly thought it's acceptable to use Quora answers as a source. 🙄 I am a scientist - we need reliable sources to believe anything.

Eventually, through blood, sweat, tears, and coffee, I made it out the other side of the Bonai QC marathon, happy with the MVP, happy with the content quality. Shipped final version, posted on X, and I will reach out to the users who requested access over the next few days.

After the intense last few days, I feel a certain sense of relief that the MVP is out there, waiting for first users to break it so I can make it better. But also I know that the hard part is really just starting, distribution can make or break a solo founder.

Luckily, I'm the founder of Bonai, built to support ongoing organic traction for solo founders who don't actually want to live on Reddit. So I am dogfooding Bonai on Bonai - building my own visibility on AI answers and Google, using my own platform. Stay tuned for updates, and I would love for you to try out Bonai also and tell me your honest feedback.

Link now live at bonai.app, free forever tier with AI audit, AEO files for your site, and 3 long form SEO/AEO articles. Or Pro tier for 50% off lifetime for first 20 founding members :)

Please try it out, I really want feedback on what can be improved.

Good luck to all!

the distribution problem you’re targeting is very real — especially for solo founders who don’t naturally gravitate toward constant posting.

the interesting part is whether automation can actually replace that or just supplement it.

feels like visibility often comes from context + timing + interaction, not just content volume.

curious if you’ve seen cases where automated content alone actually drives meaningful traction, or if it still needs manual touch to really work.

Totally agree with you, that's the other side of marketing - Twitter, Reddit, actual interaction in a "live" type of way. Bonai is built for the "long haul" of SEO, and now what is becoming important as well, AEO. The posting itself is not automated by Bonai, but we do have an API that anyone working with agentic posting can plug into. The content gen is done with traditional SEO principles as the base, with AEO as a layer on top of that (question-answer formatting, etc.). When people google "what's the best JSON-fixer tool" :) you want to be in the shortlist on Google, and on AI answers. It doesn;t replace the live interaction side of marketing, just builds a steady organic traction also. Hope that makes sense

Yeah that makes sense, especially the “long haul” angle.

I think where I keep getting stuck with pure SEO/AEO is that it feels a bit disconnected from actual user intent in the moment.

Like, someone might search for “best JSON fixer tool”, but a lot of real traction seems to come from situations where people just ran into a problem and are actively looking for a solution right then (Reddit, forums, etc.).

So it feels less like “content vs interaction” and more like:
content builds baseline visibility, but interaction captures high-intent moments.

Curious if you’ve seen that play out — where SEO brings awareness but most actual conversions still come from these more contextual touchpoints?

You're right about the high intent angle, that people actively discussing the topic of your business niche as a problem on Reddit are probably higher intent/more immediate ROI than the long haul SEO approach. But I think it's also important to have the baseline authority building in the background with SEO/AEO approaches, not to ignore the more live signals in forums, but to establish a baseline of presence and visibility that would accessible to customers who ask those same questions, but in Google or AI and not in Reddit. It's a different and equally important angle I think for positioning. My ideal vision is for Bonai to take care of supporting the baseline visibility growth for founders, while they are free to build and participate in the more personalized outreach and marketing of places like Reddit
