Book Club Concept App - Looking for Collaborators.
Happy Sunday IH,
Juntos is an app concept that I've put together for book clubs and social reading. Book clubs are on the rise in U.S. (believe it or not). I think there's something about today's world that makes us want to get our minds off it for a little while.
Monetization could come in the form of an advertising or subscription model (or both). There is also the potential for brand and celebrity integration to host and run their own book clubs on the platform.
I've done a lot of research and ideation and have gut-checked the idea with many GoodReads members who are really unhappy with the platform.
Main Features (subject to change):
- Management and scheduling tools for in-person and forum like book clubs
- Alerts and reminders for upcoming events
- Personal reading goals and tracking
- Friends activity tracking
- Honest, user-generated book reviews from the people they trust most (their friends)
Things I'm considering:
- Integrated group video calling for remote clubs (or an Instagram live integration)
- Gamification with badges and achievements to encourage reading
- Reading challenges or games
- Discounts on Amazon for group purchases of books (don't even know if this is possible)

Hi Ben, First I have to say your idea is wonderful. YES! The number of book readers and clubs are getting higher I can see that here too. I love the design and i have to say there are some areas to improve. I am a full-stack developer and a UI/UX designer.
