Booking cabs and hotels is easy — why not workspaces?
We can book a cab or a hotel in minutes, but finding a professional workspace still feels oddly complicated.
Most of the time, I don’t need a desk every day. I just need a place that works when I need it — a few hours to focus, a meeting room to meet a client, or somewhere that isn’t my kitchen table. Yet it usually turns into memberships, endless WhatsApps, or emailing just to check availability.
At the same time, so many desks and meeting rooms sit unused.
I’m building vaDeskco to explore whether booking a workspace can be as simple as booking a cab or hotel — on demand, no commitments, and easy for both users and space owners.
Still early and very much in learning mode. Curious how others here think about this problem and whether you’ve felt the same friction.
The framing is spot on — cabs and hotels solved booking because the supply was already fragmented and the demand was clear. Workspaces have the same ingredients but the trust layer is thinner (you’re not just sleeping somewhere, you’re working there, often with sensitive data).
The friction you’re solving is real. I felt something similar building flompt — prompt engineering is clearly needed but nobody wants to set it up from scratch every time. A visual builder that structures prompts into blocks removes the setup cost entirely.
