Background: a couple of friends and I are diving into the bookkeeping scene. They're finance wizzards, and I'm on this wild entrepreneur ride. We figured, why not team up and create a bookkeeping service that's all about keeping things simple and affordable for folks like us?
The mission? To make bookkeeping less of a headache for small businesses and indie hustlers. No fancy suits or corporate talk, just practical help to keep your financial house in order. So, what's your story with bookkeeping? Do you DIY, or have you tried services?
In a perfect world, what would you pay for bookkeeping services?
You will have to really research into this because say for example, I have a business called Selftalk.ing and want to manage expenses, i would want something that is kind of like "Plug n play" but also incredibly flexible if I want to go into the details.

You'd have the flexibility to dive into the details whenever you need. Plus, having a weekly meeting with your bookkeeper ensures everything stays on track and any questions or issues can be addressed promptly.

Great point! The volume of invoices definitely impacts the complexity and cost of bookkeeping services. That's why we're aiming to offer scalable solutions that can accommodate different business sizes and needs. Whether you have a few invoices or a high volume, we'll tailor our services to ensure they're both effective and affordable. But still with the idea in mind to offer a low-cost and engaged service from what is in the market already.
It's a great idea, but IMHO, it's too complicated to execute because good bookkeeping software will require integrations with countless services.
Maybe you could use Plaid or Trustly.
I like Intuit Quickbooks Online, which costs $30/mo. It's a bit pricey, but if you want a part-time or full-time accountant to work with you, they know how to use QuickBooks.
So, maybe keep things simple for folks who like DIY tax filing.

As for our bookkeeping service, we already work with QuickBooks, FreshBooks, Zoho Books, Xero, and more. We're flexible and fit our services to meet each company's specific needs.
