Here's a tactic idea that will help you convert more freemium users into customers:
This way you're showing users what they're missing out on by not upgrading their account.
They will be able to use the premium features of your product, (hopefully) experience the extra value, and once the trial ends, they'll be more likely to upgrade their subscription.
Endowment effect - we don't like to lose things we own (even for a short period of time). We tend to become extremely attracted to objects in our possession, and feel anxious to give them up.

Interesting! How much has this increased your (or your customers') conversions?
Tested it twice so far, only on the segment of users that was already using the product for some time and was active (it's important not to include the inactive users as this will surely fail). Both times we had strong double-digit uplifts within a couple of days after their trial ended.
Hey @Kacper, just saw this β thanks for your response! Can you elaborate a bit on "double-digit uplifts"?
More than 9%, less than 100% ;)
Hi Kacper!
Can you give an example of an application that has successfully implemented this tactic?
At https://seodity.com we now have a freemium plan limited only by the limit and not by the functionality.
I wonder if, in our case, it would work.
I've used it myself for a couple of clients with a freemium model. But this only makes sense with products that differentiate their pricing plans by features, not usage.
