Boston Area Indie (Venture) Studio

What's the appetite out there for indie hackers in the Boston-area to pool resources in a revenue-funded venture-type startup studio?

My most recent venture backed company (consumer, no revenue) was acquired.

Since then, I've been focusing on a new SaaS startup doing about $2k a month (small, but growing) - doing everything from sales, marketing and building the product.

It's not a venture-backed opportunity, but it certainly could be a $2M-$5M a year business with very high margins.

LMK if you're interested in a forming an indie hacker startup studio, pooling marketing and technical resources + learnings.

Sounds like a super cool idea. Unfortunately, like @Mubs I'm not in the Boston area. Is there a reason you are looking for local indie hackers? One of the big benefits of this community to me is global reach.

For @Mubs too - only reason is because I don't have as much experience in remote settings. That being said, I'm not necessarily opposed to it. Do you have experience in remote team settings?

I've worked remote for over 18 years. Part of small teams and large companies.

This is obviously a little different but open to having a discussion.

I've worked on globally distributed teams before, the trick is effective communication and clearly outlined expectations for everyone involved. You have to establish a team culture that emphasizes written communication to make sure everyone is aligned when not everyone can talk face to face. I have found notion.so, Visual Studio code's live collaboration mode and slack are great tools for facilitating for remote collaboration. I'd love chatting more about your vision for this start-up studio so I can better understand whether a remote first organization would be a good fit. Personally, I'm very interested in pooling resources with other makers, but my city has a fairly small maker community for revenue-fueled SaaS offerings.

Sounds like something that could be very special, unfortunately I'm not in the Boston area.
