Great group! We hope to keep this meetup going the first Wd of each month in Boulder.

Summary:

A couple of founders would like volunteers to test UI of their prototype products and provide feedback to the founders and developers. We will connect as needed, a few of us are willing to be testers.

Bootstrap to profitability rather than heavyweight classic financing cycles. Can we pull it off? A couple of interesting tools in development from the group may help as they are focused on small startup customers.

Founders over ideas: we seem to agree that founders' synergies are critical to startup success. Co-founders are needed maybe more on the business development side.

Execution over ideas: unless really technical ideas in need of IP confidentiality or patents, transparency may be more adequate since ideas may come from potential competition and execution is key. "Imitation is the highest form of flattery."

A few words and shared stories from those who have been involved in startups before were much appreciated.

Software developers are looking for community, collaboration, and how to get started. Can one pull it off while working for the big software companies?

Great meetup. One downer was not finding each other early on due to the location's larger size and labeling of the 'Front Room' of the building somewhat unintuitively. We may be able to use a donated space soon, but unless otherwise noted, we meet at the same place. Please stand by.
