For a couple of years, I've kicked around an idea in my mind about creating a greeting card startup. This was born mostly out of my chronic, never-ending failure to send birthday cards (or other cards) to people that I love year after year. I usually have good intentions, but the idea of going to a card store, filling out a card, stamping and addressing it, getting in the mail... all on time, is just a huge pain in the ass to me. Enter a fancy start up that will take my info, let me subscribe to an annual plan, and someone will hand write and send out the card on my behalf. Would love any thoughts or feedback on this. Is it something you'd use? Or something that you think others would use?
I don't send cards so wouldn't use it but I know greeting cards is a big industry.
I've vaguely followed the https://www.moonpig.com/us/ journey, the founder has some great interviews out there that might be useful.
I don't love consumer use cases personally, I'd be inclined to look into larger scale applications like businesses to staff or customers, clubs to members etc.
