Brainstorming-Session for Dummies

Hey Hackers,

I am currently brainstorming for a new project. Even though I have many ideas, none of them seems to be "good enough" to get started.

I think I am not the only one struggling with this. So I am looking for some inspiration, and maybe some other people can get inspired by this post.

How does it work:

This is a group exercise where a number of team members sit down to work on an idea.

This is polymorphic in nature i.e the idea can take different forms as it progresses. In this activity, one person shares the topic and other Hackers are required to write three ideas in the comment up to 5 people per post.
This means there is one initial idea, and 5 people are adding three words to it. The idea will have 15 random word, which should help to come up with new project ideas. The structure will look like this.

  • Idea 1
    |- word 1 , word 2, word 3
    |- word 1 , word 2, word 3
    |- word 1 , word 2, word 3
    |- word 1 , word 2, word 3
    |- word 1 , word 2, word 3

As soon as Idea 1 has 5 comments, a new Idea is started.

After the activity is performed, sit down and go through all the ideas. You may need to scrap some of them as well. Some might trigger better ideas as well. With little more brainstorming, you can transform the average ideas to incredible ones.

Lets try it!
