Breaking A Mental Block: A full time job + A Part time job + Micro-Saas

I have for the past 2 years juggling between 2 part time remote jobs, however on average I only work 3-4 hours a day. With some geo-arbitrage luck, I am saving almost half of my income.

Being a non-tech, I hired an ex dev colleague and build a Shopify App which has since been profitable and growing monthly (albeit super slow, adding $100 about every 2-3 months). I convinced my ex-dev-colleague to be my tech partner after seeing traction from the app - this means a long term working relationship on a profit sharing basis, which allows me to explore more ideas.

My goal is to build a portfolio of small Saas. As we improve the app, explore more ideas and even hiring another contract freelancer to speed up the work; one of my employers offered me a full time remote position with full time income - which is really hard to define what full time position means, as my work is still mostly outcome oriented instead of a 9-5 fixed hour.

For the longest time, I have resisted the offer until fairly recently I brought this up with my boss and eventually converting to "full time". I am now 2 weeks in, and as far as I can see, it is not as heavily time consuming as I initially thought.

Reflecting on this, I realized the reason I have been unconsciously resisting it is due to a mental block, that I have to (eventually) be full time doing my own products, and the fear/guilt of not preparing myself for it had one or more of my products eventually requires full time attention.

It makes me realized at the end of the day, there is really no rule or any dead set way anyone of us can approach our indie life. As long as it works for you, there is no need to feel guilty on how you approach it: full time, part time, code it yourself, hire someone etc. etc. even if it looks different from other IHers' path.
