Bring together indie hackers in your city
Years ago, there were 70+ Indie Hackers meetups every month, in cities all across the world. Then COVID happened. 😅
Three years later it's time to revive things!
We're looking for leaders to volunteer to help organize a group of indie hackers in your city on a regular basis. You'll be collaborating with me, @channingallen, and @kaia, who's running the new meetups program.
The format will be different this time than they were for our previous meetups, with more structure, more consistent group meetings, and co-working, learning, and speaking sessions.
It's likely the first two "official" meetups will be in Seattle (with me) and in NYC (with Channing). We'll try to keep group sizes small, between 6-12, and meet monthly.

We've been running an Indie Hackers meetup in London (1,700 members) since 2018, and Lisbon (400 members) since earlier this year. These regularly get 50+ attendees per month and great feedback - it'd be awesome to make it more official. The Lyon one is a bit smaller but has 100 members still.

Charlie is the cornerstone of the London Indie Hacker community. Would not be where I am today without Charlie’s meet-ups and co-working.

Can confirm that Charlie and team have done an incredible job running meetups for years now. I'd say maybe the best indiehacker meetups in the hubs mentioned above.
If you haven't checked them out, definitely do. Met some seriously talented and smart people there and the group just keeps growing

Also not exactly a meetup, but I rented a huge Airbnb from Sept 28 - Oct 1 (3 nights) in Ohio and am organizing a SaaS founders retreat.
So far there are 6 confirmed attendees (all of whom are at approx $1M ARR or higher, although that is not a requirement), and we have room for 4 more people (want to cap it at 10 people total).
What's the plan for those 3 days? Making fires, hiking, zip lining, playing pool, going to a brewery, lawn games, board games, and meeting other cool SaaS founders in person :)
