Browser extension for skimming articles

I am working on a browser extension that highlights the most relevant sentences in a text, allowing you to skim content more quickly and easily.

Landing page and demo: 🚀 https://synopsis.cloud 🚀

Dummy questions that I need explanation with:

    • do I have to highlight parts of text on my own or the NLP does it?
    • what for do I need them highlighted? For TLDR purpoces only?
    • do I need it as a reader or as the author?

P.S. Landing page feedback : the design is sexy

NLP does the highlighting - strictly for TLDR. I realize some screenshots might also help to communicate this more clearly.

P.S. If you viewed it on mobile you didn't get the demo (will fix).

I did see the demo, but I don't really get the value:
Ok the parts of texts are highlighted, what do I do next? Read only them? Can I extract them or smth?

The main idea is to help with skimming by anchoring to some key sentences.

I thought about a potential feature that allows users to collapse the paragraphs around the highlights for a condensed view which can be expanded if interested.

I find that straight extraction doesn't provide a ton of value, but I will be adding an API feature as the core product evolves. I am also looking to integrate summaries (in a popup) since the ML algos have come a long way.
