Brutally Honest Feedback for my SAAS tool

https://www.allyner.com/

I'm building a self-service booking portal for solo-service businesses like consultants & freelancers, addressing needs unmet by Shopify, etc. Launched MVP at https://www.allyner.com/. Need brutally honest feedback to ensure I'm communicating right. Thanks! <3"

i am gonna give a "brutally" honest feedback like you asked. LOL :)

ok ... here is goes ...

let's start with what you say here and there advance to site ...

"I'm building a self-service booking portal for solo-service businesses like consultants & freelancers, addressing needs unmet by Shopify, etc."

"self-service" ... like a laundry where you put coins but for booking ? and what people will book ? vacations ? what ?

"addressing needs unmet by Shopify" ... super vague text ... what needs are you talking about ?

i am going to site now ... :)

the first thing i encounter is this text ...

    "Grow your service business Overnight
Attract more clients and retain them longer by giving your clients the convenience and control they crave" ... a message that tells you nothing ...

"Grow your service business Overnight" ... how ?
"Attract more clients" ... how ?
"and retain them longer" ... how ?
solution: "by giving your clients the convenience and control they crave" ... what is the meaning of giving the convenience and control ? ... and they crave what ?

many things to check ... but i am going to check just one more ...

found another ... in reviews section

Don't put the same picture in reviews because it will sound like b-u-l-l-s-h-i-t and fake comments generated by an AI. Girl image for man names ... LOL :)

I wish all the best to your project

The design looks super clean and intuitive.

    Smaller points to note

    • The H1 image looks a little blurred on bigger screens
    • The logo on the images don't match your logo- is this intentional?

Hey Harman – great job getting this out. The website looks great, its clean and looks “trust” worthy if there is such a think.

Some of my comments scrolling through (in no particular order):

    • The hero tagline “ Grow your service business Overnight” is a bit vague. It’s not clear to me how you are going to help me. Is it getting clients, or smoother onboarding?
    • Would suggest the caveats under “Try for Free” button – is it forever, or a X day free trial?
    • On your bookings, I think I would expect to be able to upload pdfs/spreadsheets to – especially given the example you have an accountant.
    • Allowing users to self-serve sounds like a good selling point, but perhaps can highlight the use case? Is it for clients to amend the initial information, or to answer more queries?
    • All the reviews have the same face. Ethics aside, you could get random faces from thispersondoesnotexistdotcom
-Would be good to see how it compares to existing services (you don’t have to call out existing services): Calendly (I think they can charge + ask questions – but that’s only for meetings. Allyner seems to manage the whole client lifecycle). A simple typeform (which can also charge fees + questions)
    • The product management card in the last CTA image is loreum ipsum. Can suggest some text from chat-gpt that is passably relevant
    • A demo site or video of what the product is would go a long way in explain

Some other comments, but take this with a pinch of salt as it might be my biases cause I’m more technical:

    • Didn’t like the app being on separate domain (myallyner), makes me stop for a second if I’m on a phising site.
    • For the on-brand account page – What domain would be it be? Perhaps can highlight it as either your-brand.allyner or allyner/your-brand whatever it may be

Overall, I think the UI is great – just work on how to better position the product and it will be great!

      Hi @mistersimon,

Thank you so much for taking the time to review my landing page and provide such detailed and thoughtful feedback. I'll definitely update the hero tagline, CTA, review section and look into adding a demo site and a comparison page, great suggestions.

Thanks for the technical feedback on the separate domain too. Do you have any suggestions on hosting the landing page built on Webflow and app hosted through vercel on the same domain?

Thanks again for your support and encouragement!

You should be able to host the vercel on a subdomain such as app.allyner dotcom

    Here's some additional context:

I'm a product builder and my latest project is to help solo-service-based business owners create a self-service booking portal and let their customers track the progress of their services.

I am working on this project because the order-in-take process and delivery of service businesses are fundamentally different than product businesses, and the current website builders like Shopify etc. do not address the specific needs of such businesses.

The audience of my tool is solo-service-based businesses such as consultants, freelancers, coaches, accountants, lawyers etc.

I have launched the MVP product and here's the landing page - https://www.allyner.com/.

Could you please share brutally honest give me feedback on my SAAS tool so that I can understand if I'm communicating to the right audience and in the right way?
