Hey IH fam! 👋
At Laylo, launched a landing page tool designed for collecting RSVPs to your upcoming releases and we're looking for beta testers 🚀
We noticed that almost every entrepreneur/content creator uses their social media to announce upcoming releases but doesn't have anywhere to send their audience in the meantime!
That's why we launched Laylo to help you create a landing page in seconds and collect your fan data (and it's yours to keep and export forever). For fans, they'll automatically get notified the second your project is released.
We built this for:
We know that building websites takes a ton of time and gets very expensive, that's why we focused on letting you create your page in less than 5 minutes and completely free.
Right now we're looking for beta testers ahead of our Pro Tier launch. For all Indiehackers who sign up and create a drop before January 1st, we'll give you a Pro plan for 3 months for free! Head to Laylo.com
Excited to hear what you all think :)
FYI, I did not know the meaning of "RSVP" .. I visited your site since I am a believer of mailing lists for product validation and similar tools.
Thanks for the feedback! We tried using RSVP as a catch-all since we support email, SMS, FB Messenger, and Discord so we thought newsletter may be confusing.
Any terminology you think would be more clear?
This sounds like a great idea! Especially for people who don't have newsletters for their customers.
I also really like your website. What tech stack did you use for it?
Thanks!! We're built on React Native, GraphQL, Apollo, and AWS. Also seeing your username thought you'd like to know we're using Material UI and Figma :)
Awesome thank you!
@melonhead - interesting/good timing on this announcement.
I'm planning to release a product soon, have been gathering emails via a Google form, and have been struggling to figure out how best to engage with the people who've added their name to my product waitlist in a meaningful way.
It's easy enough to send them an email blast (via whatever mail service tool), but then if they respond, it's to me directly/individually.
Seems like Laylo addresses one part of the equation, but what about 2-way or group communication? It's cool to collect email/mobile info, but what if the people on the waitlist want to communicate to me, or what if I want to communicate to all or some of them?
I've been thinking about starting a Discord Server for the Product/launch to provide the group discussion part, but maybe that could be combined with a Laylo page somehow?
Love to hear that! Would love to learn more about how you've been using Google forms (esp. where you're sharing the link).
Great questions: we support messaging your audience en-masse (and cross-platform). If fans want to respond to you, all they have to do is respond to your Laylo messages and it'll automatically be re-routed to whatever email you signed up with.
We've seen a few use-cases with Discord! We actually support adding your Drop inside of your Discord server so that fans can RSVP directly from there.
Would love to chat further and help you get this setup, reach out to me anytime at [email protected] :)
Just sent you an email. Thanks!
