Build an app with me - mix3rrr

Hey y'all. As I continue down my journey as an Indie Hacker I'd like to focus more attention on finding a good partner and growing out my network. I was always so focused on product development that I forgot how important it is to have a strong team. I realized this at my last job, there were so many obstacles that it would have been impossible for a single person to handle.

Now that I've learned my lesson I'd like to brainstorm with my fellow Indie Hackers.

1. Do you share my sentiment - having a team is vital for success?
2. Has it been difficult for you to meet like-minded people who will work with you on your project(s)?
3. Are you willing to do something about it?

I know that IH has a group for finding a partner but it seems suboptimal to me (somebody prove me wrong). I've also tried Meetup, not the right demographic. I'd prefer having a networking event, similar to speed dating, where a bunch of us can sign up for an event and meet 5, 10, maybe more people within the course of an hour. Who knows if it'll work - but I believe finding the right person or people is just a game of numbers - and this is the problem I'm trying to solve.
