Build at least anything useful

Hi everyone!

A couple of weeks ago I abandoned my pet project, it was probably the 20th for the last 5 years.

I've never released anything useful yet, all my work was about someone's idea, not mine, I trying to start my own business since 2016, but keep stopping at some point.

Mostly, I don't like my ideas. They sound nice at first, maybe some of them could be really successful, but I just don't feel like I can work on it for few years or something like that.

You can tell me that it's probably impossible to find a perfect idea, do at least something! And you would be right, that's because I decided to start one more project.

That one will be open-sourced - I'm a big fan of Notion, and they released an API a couple of weeks ago, and I came up with how I can use it to simplify projects bootstrapping, I will certainly unveil my idea soon in another post :)

I still don't know is there any perfect idea, but I will try to keep working on at least something that could be useful!

    Hello Andrey,

IMO, it is not that much about what you are starting but much more about how you do it. Is it something you do with fun and joy ? Can you picture the end user being happy by what you offer? When you work, does time stops like by magic?

Bob Proctor said once "We've been trained to be perfect go getters. It is not go getters we need to be, but go givers".

I believe that our mindset and beliefs are upside down. If we shift our attention from taking or gaining to giving, the rest will take care of itself. People will notice the energy you have infused in your work, your interactions with them will show and if they are happy, they'll come back. :-)

Have fun with your project, looking forward to seeing the result !

May the force be with you
